Another amazing local Artist

One of the local people that contacted me to be a part of this event was a Bideford based Photographic company called Picture Perfect Presents they take fantastic pictures of local areas of outstanding beauty (& lets face it we have those in abundance in Devon) and scenery which they frame, mount, print on canvas and turn into cards!  We have a huge selection of framed photo's, cards and canvases to choose from and they are incredibly good value with framed 3 photo's at £15.  Here are just a few of those we have in the Shop, so pop along and grab a beautiful piece of the Devon coast!

Only a few hours to go...

The Christmas Shop opens tomorrow at 10 and here is a little sneak peek....

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

No Christmas is complete without a festive tree and here at the shop there is no exception to that rule.  For us buying our tree is a ritual enjoyed yearly and now to be enjoyed by our daughter who will get to chose her first Christmas tree.  I have always preferred to buy from tree farms direct rather than get a tree that has been sitting around for a few weeks without water.  We are fortunate to be very close to a new Christmas Tree Farm just outside Bradworthy which we will be visiting tomorrow to pick a tree for the shop.

They are a young Christmas Tree farm planting their first christmas trees in 2005.  With approximately 30,000 christmas trees in the ground, they have a variety of species including Norway Spruce, Nordmann Fir, Noble Fir, Frazier Fir and Blue Spruce.  They also have smaller, potted christmas trees.  Christmas trees are now available, up to 6 foot tall, for choosing yourselves.  They will then cut and net them for you to take home. Why not bring the whole family? Just remember to please come prepared with wellies!

They have christmas trees ready cut, for those with less time.
They are open everyday from 1st to 24th December, 10am to 4pm.  If you wish to visit at any other time, please ring to arrange.  Full contact information and directions are available on their website

Once you have your tree just pop along to the shop the buy some unique decorations for it!

Tracey Phillips Jewellery

We are lucky enough to have a local Bridal Jewellery maker Tracey Phillips joining the creative collective at the Wilde Rowan Christmas Shop opening on Sunday 27th November.  Tracey works with stunning Swarovski Crytals which give her jewellery lots of sparkle and colour and will be just perfect to go with your festive sparkles and Little Black dress.

The range that she has created is exclusive to the Wilde Rowan Shop and will not be found on her website so grab them here before they are all gone.

Starting from £15 there is something for everyone and we have late night opening on Mondays until 8pm & a very relaxed atmosphere with Free Gift wrap! there is no excuse for not getting the perfect gift for the lady in your life.

Artist Amendment

Sadly we will no longer be showcasing the work of Farrell Wood designs at the shop this year, unfortunately they have had to pull out.  However we have lots more lovely artists with beautiful gifts and decorations for you.   We will be selling the new Rowan Tree knitting kits at the shop and you can get a sneak peak here on the blog.

Latest in our amazing local artists

As well as all the talented lovelies From the Wilde we have some great new artists from the local area. The latest of those is Amy-Mae a talented clay artist based in Bideford. She designs, makes and hand paints retro/Nordic inspired clay tree decorations. They are completely exclusive to the Wilde Rowan Christmas shop. I shall be adorning my tree with the utterly gorgeous Rudolph with green & gold painted detail, it will be a lovely addition to my collection of tree decs and create many fond memories. These will go quickly so don't delay get to the shop on the 27th bright and early. We would love to hear from anyone planning on visiting us at the shop. I am very excited indeed!
